Connor McDavid comments on Team Canada's near meltdown

Team Canada has just secured their ticket to the finals this Thursday as the boys edged out Team Finland by a score of 5-3 this afternoon. While Canadians are feeling elated about the win, Team Canada suffered a near meltdown in the final moments of the third period.
Well folks, Team Canada punched their into a rematch with Team USA later this week, and it took a full team effort to get to this point.
Although Team Canada faced quite the scare in the final stages of the 3rd period, they managed to keep their composure as captain Sidney Crosby came through with an incredible solo effort seal the deal.
Connor McDavid comments on ugly win over Team Finland
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, In his post game interview, Connor McDavid said the last few minutes were ugly, and that Team Canada needs to be better at closing out games.
It was ugly. Ugly way to end the game, for sure. Closer than we would've liked, but I thought that for 16-15 minutes there we did a great job just kinda wasting time. But it got close for sure.
Starts haven't been the issue for our group, we've been great off the start. But again, we let them back in late. But we found a way to get a win, and that's all that matters. It sets up a great one on Thursday.

Although McDavid admits there's areas of the game he'd like to clean up, his focused remains on emerging victorious against Team USA on Thursday.
Yeah, it's really exciting obviously, but it's still a ways away. Enjoy this one, we'll be ready for a big one Thursday.
