"There's no way i'm missing this game"- Auston Matthews gearing up for rival showdown against Team Canada
The stage is set for an epic final this Thursday as Team Canada looks to close out the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament with a big win over Team USA. That said, after missing last game against Team Sweden, Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews says there will be nothing stopping him from making an appearance tomorrow night.
Just ahead of Monday's contest against Sweden, Sportsnet's Elliot Friedman was among the first to report the Arizona native was scratched and later reported it was due to what was dubbed «upper-body soreness.»
Up until today, Auston Matthews availability for tomorrow's final was put into question, but new reports indicate that Auston Matthews will be suiting up for the big game tomorrow night.
There did not seem to be concern about Matthews' availability for Thursday when it was announced he'd miss tonight's game

Says injury is new, not related to previous ailment but feels much better.
I think it's safe to say that winning tomorrow's game is at the forefront of every players mind.
With national pride on the line, it appears that even an injury won't be holding Auston Matthews back from making his country proud.
