The Edmonton Oilers unfortunately fell short by a score of 3-2 to the Vancouver Canucks. Despite a furious push by the Oil, they ultimately fell short. While the Oilers are dealing with a bitter loss, chaos erupted in the late stage in the 3rd period after Connor McDavid was mauled by Connor Garland, causing frustrations to boil over.

While the Edmonton Oilers were pushing to tie the game at 3-3, Connor McDavid and Connor Garland engaged in a furious scrum in the Canucks zone.

After a 20 second wrestling match, the pair finally broke loose, but Connor McDavid would have the last word, delivering a nasty cross check to Garland's face.

Now, Canucks fans are calling for McDavid to be suspended for the hit.

Connor McDavid doesn't like being dropped by Conor Garland, so he takes a bush league cheap shot cross-checking Garland in the mouth. He better get suspended for that garbage move.

-Canucks Nation

Following the chaos, the Canucks and the Oilers engaged in physical altercations, resulting in match penalties being issued to Tyler Myers and Connor McDavid.

It should be interesting to see if NHL Player and Safety issues McDavid a fine for cross checking Garland in the face -- time will tell.
