Edmonton Oilers prospect Brady Stonehouse traded to OHL Peterborough Pete's
Breaking news in Oil Country as Edmonton Oilers prospect Brady Stonehouse has been traded to the OHL's Peterborough Pete's.
Edmonton Oilers propsect Brady Stonehouse is making the jump from the Ottawa 67's to the Peterborough Petes.
In return for the Stonehouse, the 67's received a 2027 fourth-round pick originally belonging to the Sudbury Wolves, and a 2028 sixth-round pick.
According to Oilers Nation, Stonehouse ranked this summer as the Oilers' 17th ranked prospect by Oilersnation. was signed by the team to a three-year entry-level deal in October 2023, with his deal sliding. He's appeared in 18 games this season for Ottawa, scoring five goals and 10 points, but has seen dips in production in each of the last three seasons.
So far this season, Stonehouse has notched 5 goals and 5 assists through 18 regular season games, but the Petes are thrilled with their newest addition.
Petes general manager and vice president of operations Michael Oke commented on the organization's excitement regarding their new acquisition:
«Brady is an extremely competitive forward who plays hard at both ends of the ice,» said Oke in a statement. «Having played over 200 games in the OHL, we know that his experience will be very beneficial for our young group. We're looking forward to having him join our team and aiding in his development as he prepares to turn pro next season.»
