Following an impressive 6-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Saturday, head coach Kris Knoblauch held an open practice this morning in preparation for Friday's matchup against Utah HC.
Zach Hyman is still dealing with an injury sustained during the 2nd period of the Ottawa Senators game.
There has also been also growing speculation that his injury could be related to taking a hit from Montreal Canadiens enforcer Arber Xhekaj.
Viktor Arvidsson on the other hand is dealing with a far more mysterious injury.
It was never seen how Victor Arvidsson was injured either, but the Oilers forward was initially just supposed to miss practice with a maintenance day.
Fans have been growing increasingly weary of vague medical updates from the Oilers coaching staff, as Viktor Arvidsson has been sidelined well beyond his initial time-line.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, There's real concern that Arvidsson is an injury-prone player, and with the ever extending 50-50 maintenance day, Oilers fans are seeing why he's earned that reputation. It adds to the frustration that the nature of the injury is still undisclosed.
Oilers Central will be keeping close tabs on the situation for further medical updates on Zach Hyman and Viktor Arvidsson.
