The Edmonton Oilers are gearing up for a thrilling showdown against the Tampa Lightning tonight, and Mark Spector has an injury update concerning two star players.
According to Mark Spector,
Erik Cernak will be unavailable for tonight's matchup, and forward Anthony is listed as doubtful.
Back on October 30th, defenseman Erik Cernak left the matchup early injured after receiving a high hit from Avalanche forward Matt Stienburg. According to sources, he's been struggling with rehabilitation and is officially ruled out of tonight's matchup.
On the other hand,
Anthony Cirelli left last Sunday's in the first period following a hit from Canucks defenseman
Noah Juulsen. Cirelli has taken major strides offensively this season, moving at nearly a point-per-game pace. He's tallied 11 goals and 24 points in 26 appearances.
This is bad news for Anthony Cirelli who was just named to the Team Canada roster ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
