Well folks, after years of fans screaming for his head, Edmonton Oilers goaltender coach Dustin Schwartz has recently reached his 10 year milestone with the team.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, The Edmonton Oilers are just three weeks away from the ten year anniversary of hiring goalie coach Dustin Schwartz, still with the organization despite so many calls to be fired.
Schwartz was hired from the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings on November 24th 2014, and in the ten years of his coaching, Oilers goalies have been a constant topic of discussion. Some fans have been pointing to Schwartz as a reason why.
Despite Dustin Schwartz reaching the 10 year milestone, I think it's safe to say that the Edmonton Oilers have struggled between the pipes since Schwartz's emergence in 2014.
From Devan Dubnyk, Cam Talbot, Mike Smith, and Stuart Skinner, all of them seemed to have below average performances under Schwartz's guidance.
Year after year, the Oilers goaltenders seem to have a steady decline in their save percentages, and the only goalie who seemed to be immune from this phenomenon was Mike Smith.
For years, fans have been calling for a change, but Oilers executives seem adamant that Dustin Schwartz is the perfect man for the job.
Stuart Skinner took the Edmonton Oilers all the way to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals last year, and there has been some conversation stating that the legendary cup run ultimately saved Schwartz's job.
Although Stuart Skinner has been performing a little better as of late, Oilers enthusiasts are still calling for a change to be made.
Do you think Dustin Schwartz should be fired? Let us know in the Oilers Central poll!
