Just now, NHL player and safety announced their decision to suspend Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman for his egregious actions against Minnesota Wild superstar Tim Stutzle.
As per the NHL, Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman has been suspended for 10 games, without pay, for roughing Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle during NHL Game No. 828 in Ottawa on Saturday, Feb. 1, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 19:44 of the second period. Hartman was assessed a match penalty. Hartman is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $487,804.90. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, For such an egregious play, this suspension is clearly deserved. Hartman is a 628 game veteran of the NHL, so he should already know better - but hopefully this actually changes his behaviour.
It's very rare to see a 10 game suspension handed out in the NHL, but in this case, it's entirely deserved. Player Safety may have finally got a decision right with this one.
