Evander Kane issues official statement on his current health status
Evander Kane recently wrapped up a conference call with a few prominent insiders, providing fans a breaking update on his current health status.
"I had an e-scope done yesterday. It kind of popped up a few weeks after my abdominal surgery and after getting it looked at we discovered they needed to remove something from knee. It should be a quick recovery. This should only delay my other rehab for a short time,"

"This surgery was done so I could come back this season. I'm excited to get it done now, rather than wait until my other rehab was fulling complete,"
"When I do come back I am confident I can be the player I was. Last year it was painful just skating. It will be great to skate pain free. My focus is being 100% when I come back, and I'm focused on that more than what date I will return,".
While Evander Kane did not give a timeline for his return, it's becoming clear the Edmonton Oilers will not be receiving his services until the postseason.
Although Kane feels hopeful about a potential return to play, Stan Bowman's NHL trade deadline plans just got a whole lot juicer.
