As it stands, Zach Hyman and Viktor Arvidsson are expected to be out for another 5-8 days, ruling them out of this weekend's road games.

Zach Hyman is still dealing with an injury sustained during the 2nd period of the Ottawa Senators game.

There has also been also growing speculation that his injury could be related to taking a hit from Montreal Canadiens enforcer Arber Xhekaj.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, There's real concern that Arvidsson is an injury-prone player, and with the ever extending 50-50 maintenance day, Oilers fans are seeing why he's earned that reputation. It adds to the frustration that the nature of the injury is still undisclosed.

With the extend absence of Zach Hyman and Viktor Arvidsson, the Oilers will likely be running 11 forwards and 7 defenceman for their road trip.

Despite the bad news, the Oilers will look to build off their 6-2 blowout win against the New York Rangers.
