Breaking news in Oil Country as Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner has caught a lucky break and is poised to make Team Canada.
The 4-Nations cup is set to debut in February, and Edmonton Oilers goaltender has got himself back in the conversation to make Team Canada.
According to Elliotte Friedman on the latest edition of Saturday's Headlines, Joey Daccord is out of contention for Team Canada because he does not have a Canadian passport.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Joey Daccord was born in Boston, USA, but has dual citizenship and Team Canada was heavily considering the 28 year old journeyman goaltender.
Daccord has never solidified himself as a starter anywhere in the NHL prior to the last two years with the Seattle Kraken, where he's broken out to post an incredible .916 save percentage over the last two years.

Daily Face Off, a highly respected online hockey resource recently updated their projected Team Canada roster, and Edmonton Oilers net minder Stuart Skinner found himself on the sideline.
As it stands, four members of the Edmonton Oilers have been listed on the projected roster so far.
The names include Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman, Stuart Skinner and Evan Bouchard. Before the start of the regular season, Stuart Skinner was essentially a lock to make Team Canada, which would have sent an astounding four members of the Oilers organization to the 4 Nations Cup.
Now that Joey Daccord has been deemed ineligible, Stuart Skinner now finds himself back on the projected Team Canada roster.
