The Edmonton Oilers are coming off a disappointing 6-5 loss to the defending Stanley Cup Champions, but insider Bob Stauffer remains bullish about the Oil's young net minder Stuart Skinner.

Although the Edmonton Oilers had an explosive offensive performance, goaltender Stuart Skinner arguably had one of his worst starts of the 2024-25 NHL season.
Skinner finished the game with an abysmal .750 SP, saving just 22 of 28 shots faced.
Over the past few games, Stuart Skinner has had a decent stretch, going 4-1-0 in his last 5 starts with a 1.41 GAA and a .947 SV% in that span.
Nonetheless, Edmonton Oilers insider Bob Stauffer expressed confidence in Stuart Skinner, continuing to hold him in high regard.
«I'm not worried about Skinner," Stauffer said on his podcast (8:00 onwards). "He's twenty-six. He's gonna bounce back from that performance. He's still got a lot. He's a big goaltender. He's got he's got room to grow. He's going to improve his puck handling. He'll improve his club side."

Another member of the Oilers who had a night to forget was defenceman Evan Bouchard, but the hockey pundit remains unconcerned about his performance.
"The one thing I do wonder a bit after watching Vegas, and Florida is I thought they leaned on habitat, and that was part of what got them going, is the degree of physicality, they played in my winter,» Stauffer added.

Stuart Skinner and the rest of the Oilers troops will look to bounce back when they take on the Boston Bruins tomorrow night.
Do you think Stuart Skinner should get the nod between the pipes tomorrow night?
