Viktor Arvidsson Demonstrates Oilers Made the Right Choice Despite Previous Controversy
The Edmonton Oilers are currently heading into the final frame of their Saturday matinee against the Los Angeles Kings, and Viktor Arvidsson scored a huge goal to put the Oilers up 3-2.
Viktor Arvidsson has been producing steady offence for the Edmonton Oilers since missing over a month due to an undisclosed injury.
Since coming back from injury, he's already registered 3 points, including a big goal to put the Oilers up 3-2.
After some strong forechecking by the Edmonton Oilers, Vasily Podkolzin and Leon Draisaitl combined to create a beautiful play that set up Arvidsson, who fired a stunning shot to score his first goal against his former team
Up until the last few games, it appeared that the Edmonton Oilers were suffering from a little "buyers remorse" but his scrutiny has since been muted.
Prior to the game, head coach Kris Knoblauch commented on what Viktor Arvidsson brings to the lineup:
"He made some nice plays, and he's typically been a guy that produces and can play with top talent. This weekend, we were playing three-in-four and we didn't want to overuse him. He played the majority of the first game on the fourth line, moved up third line in the second game, and then with the illness to Nuge, he can certainly fill in that that role. "

Viktor Arvidsson will look for another timely goal to give the Oilers some insurance. Hopefully, the team manages to close out their Pacific Division Rivals heading into the final frame.
