Team Canada is coming off a clutch 4-3 overtime win against Team Sweden, but the Canadians faced an unfortunate set-back as defenceman Shea Theodore went down in the early minutes of the 1st period with an upper body injury. That said, Travis Sanheim will be slotting to replace Shea Theodore, and GM Don Sweeney has called up Dallas Stars defenceman Thomas Harley as the 7th defenceman.
According to Sportsnet, Team Canada is requesting that Dallas Stars' Thomas Harley travel to the Boston area as a standby defenceman in the event of further injury, Sportsnet can confirm.
Tournament rules dictate that Canada is not permitted to replace Theodore and that Travis Sanheim, who was on Canada's roster as the seventh defenceman, will take Theodore's place on Saturday against the United States.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported on Wednesday night, however, that the tournament will allow Canada to put a player or two "on notice" in the event of another injury. Sportsnet can confirm that Harley will arrive in Boston on Saturday. The tournament will shift to Boston on Monday after four games are played in Montreal.

Harley has had a strong year for the Dallas Stars so far, posting nine goals and 29 points in 53 games this season.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, At this point, Team Canada had to contact players already on vacation to leave their break early and travel to Boston for a good chance they won't play - but it's still telling that Evan Bouchard is that far down the depth list for Team Canada.
The Oilers defenceman scored 82 points last season in a breakout year with Edmonton, but this season his scoring has declined as his outward reputation has taken a hit with some big time giveaways.
