The Edmonton Oilers have just pulled off a glorious comeback against the Boston Bruins, and they have captain Connor McDavid to thank.

At 17:39 in the 3rd period, Zach Hyman carried the puck from the neutral zone into Bruins territory, setting up Connor McDavid.

The captain pulled off a slick move around a Boston Bruins defender and buried the game tying goal to send it to OT.

Minutes into overtime, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins received a brilliant pass through two defenders, darted up the ice, and followed it up with a nifty saucer pass to Leon Draisaitl.

While Leon Draisaitl couldn't get a clean shot off, RNH managed to get the puck back to find a trailing Mattias Ekholm, and he buried the over time winner.

Oilers fans should also tip their cap to forward Zach Hyman, who managed to put the Oilers on the board despite a fractured nose.

At 8:44 in the second period, Zach Hyman received a lucky bounce off the boards, wasting no time by ripping home the first goal of the night past goaltender Jeremy Swayman.

I have to admit, I was getting a little worried there for a second. The first two periods of the game were a total snooze fest -- but the boys pulled it off.

With that being said, The Boston Bruins haven't lost lost a game in Edmonton since October 11th, 2018, but thats winning streak has now been broken.

The Edmonton Oilers showed true grit and resilience, winning their third game of the season when trailing after the first 2 periods.
