A new video has just surfaced of Connor McDavid giving a heartfelt speech to his teammates after notching his 1000th point.
It's no secret that Connor McDavid isn't the most outspoken hockey player in the world.
Usually, he lets his performance on the ice do all the talking, but on particular occasion, we got to see a different side of our beloved captain.
Back on November 14th, the Edmonton Oilers took on the Nashville Predators at home, and the stage was set for Connor McDavid to reach an incredible career milestone.
As expected, Connor McDavid delivered -- notching his 1000th career point in front of the fans at Rogers Place.
After the game, Connor McDavid took some time to to deliver a beautiful speech, emphasizing how much this his teammates and this organization means to him.
»To see the way you guys reacted, it means the world to me. I love this team, love this organization. You know the guys that have been here since day one, I love you guys man. The staff, Hairball, Langer I love you guys, and it's just not possible without you guys. To each and everybody that's here, to former teammates that aren't here, nothings possible without you guys. To make even things even more hilarious, just before his speech, the Oilers pranked Connor McDavid by giving him the silent treatment as he entered the dressing room.
It's really inspiring to see Connor McDavid open up and reveal his kind vulnerable side.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we're truly blessed to have Connor McDavid in Edmonton.
