The Edmonton Oilers will be taking on the resurgent Boston Boston Bruins tonight, and Viktor Arvidsson will be slotting in after missing half the season due to injury.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Arvidsson has missed over a month with an undisclosed injury, but has now joined the team for several practices, and is expected to play tonight.
With the long-awaited return of their injured top six free agent acquisition, the Oilers are shaking up the lineup. Arvidsson will play on the third line to start, Mattias Janmark will be moved to fourth line center, and Ryan will be taken out.
Back on November 14th, Viktor Arvidsson missed practice due to a maintenance day.
The following day, Kris Knoblauch listed him as 50/50 for the game against the Nashville Predators, and he hasn't been available for a game since -- until tonight.
In 16 regular season games, Viktor Arvidsson has notched 2 goals and 3 assists.
It will be interesting to see how Arvidsson performs after being out for so long.
