Evander Kane has threatened to knock out Jake Paul
The world of boxing was electric last night as controversial bad boy Jake Paul took on Mike Tyson in the ring.
With that being said, Jake Paul ended up with a unanimous victory, and Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane is stepping up to be his next opponent in the boxing ring.
It's not the first time Evander Kane made his intentions to fight Jake Paul known. 4 years ago, Evander Kane took to social media, calling Paul out, challenging him to a fight with an exact time and date.
"Yo Jake Paul I'd wreck ya. Easy to beat up guys with no experience and much smaller. August 31st 2021 Vegas we can really see if you really about that action"
-Evander Kane
Before the fight last night, Evander Kane tried to ruffle Jake Paul's feathers, challenging him to another fight.
Kane confidently said in an Instagram comment that he would absolutely win in a fight over Jake Paul, basically extending the challenge.
It's crazy to see Evander Kane seemingly still ready and willing to step into the ring with Jake Paul. Given his direct challenge it maybe would've even happened by now, but surely, the NHL and the Edmonton Oilers would have a problem with Kane putting himself at risk of injury in another sport.
-Liam McCormick, Oilers Daily
Evander Kane has always been known for his gifted fighting ability. He's by far the most feared enforcer on the Edmonton Oilers, and one can only imagine how glorious that fight would be.
With that being said, Evander Kane is currently sidelined from the game of hockey, rehabilitating from a sports hernia surgery.
Set to return to play in early 2025, Evander Kane should keep his mind focussed on helping the Oilers get back to the Stanley Cup finals -- not fighting Jake Paul.
Although he's currently away from the game of hockey, Evander Kane still feels confident about his odds.
