Former Edmonton Oilers fan favourite placed on waivers
Breaking news in the NHL as former Edmonton Oilers forward Devin Shore has been placed on waivers by the Minnesota Wild.
The purpose of doing this will help the Wild acrue cap space these next couple of days considering the Wild don't play until Wednesday and had an off-day today (Monday).
Assuming he clears waivers, Devin Shore will rejoin Minnesota's farm affiliate in Iowa.
So far this season, Devin Shore has notched 0 goals and 0 assists in 12 regular season games, but has two goals and eight assists in 14 outings at the minor-league level.
According to Puckpedia, Devin Shore is signed to a 1 year, $775,000 contract with a cap hit of $775,000 per season. His contract was signed on July 1, 2024, and expires at the end of the 2024-25 season, when Shore will be 30 years old.
Devin Shore is a former fan favourite in Oil Country, having spent 3 entire years in the organization.
Although Devin Shore was well regarded as a reliable call-up, he was never able to gain much traction on the team, frequently being shuffled between the AHL and NHL.
During 3 seasons spent with the Edmonton Oilers, Devin Shore notched 31 points through 134 regular season games.
