Insider hints at imminent trade incoming for the Edmonton Oilers

Elliotte Friedman announced during a recent segment of Sportsnet Radio that the Edmonton Oilers roster will look completely different come NHL deadline.

The hockey pundit confidently said the Edmonton Oilers will be adding at least one blue liner to their lineup.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Insider Bob Stauffer has recently connected Cam Fowler to the Edmonton Oilers, and Blue Jackets blueliner Ivan Provorov has been linked to the Oilers as well. Rasmus Andersson would be a great fit, but the Flames ownership would reportedly deny a trade to their rival Edmonton.

The Edmonton Oilers have recently placed Edmonton Oilers defenceman Travis Dermott on waivers, signing big Alec Regula in his stead.

Oilers fans have been praising Stan Bowman for the sneaky acquisition, but should temper their expectations considering he's an unproven defenceman with no NHL experience.

Although Alec Regula has the skillset to surprise, Friedman announces that fans can fully expect Stan Bowman to make another addition on the blue line at the deadline.
