The Edmonton Oilers seem to be in a great mood these days, and a hilarious new video of Leon Draisaitl confirms that. Before a game, Leon Draisaitl is seen messing around with Evan Bouchard, giving him hilarious German nicknames.

According to Ryan Hall of Oilers Daily, the scene plays out where Draisaitl keeps dropping German nicknames towards Bouchard in which he walks out of the dressing room with a stoic face and saying nothing.

Bouchard then chirps a comeback to Draisaitl which causes him to fake laugh and reaction as it was a good comeback while shaking his head after Bouchard leaves the dressing room.

This video clearly shows that the Oilers are in a good mood these days as the team has found its winning ways and has risen in the standings significantly and currently sits third overall in the Pacific division.

It's not the first time fans have seen Leon Draisaitl show off his goofy side.

Last year at the NHL's player media tour, Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl was spotted chirping Chicago Blackhawks phenom Connor Bedard. "Chirping" is a huge part of the game of hockey, and on this occasion, Bedard got the full extent of Draisaitl's banter.

Leon: "Dude, hurry up. There's other people that wanna go too, hey?"

Connor: "Oh, my bad. Hey, did you do the stick handling one yet?"

Leon: "Don't worry about it"

In the NHL, there's an element of trash-talking designed to unnerve the opponent and get him thinking about something other than the game at hand. Sometimes it's all in good fun, but sometimes it can be brutal.

On this particular occasion, Draisaitl took it easy on young Bedard, and the two have seemingly developed a close connection off the ice.
