Patrick Kane linked to the Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers are gearing up for one of the most important trade deadlines in franchise history, and GM Stan Bowman will be weighing all of his options ahead of the deadline.
That said, Alan Mitchell of the Athletic recently published an intriguing article that has caused quite the stir in Oil Country.
According to Mitchell, Edmonton has emerged as a prime landing spot for the three-time Stanley Cup champion, especially if the Red Wings aren't in the Stanley Cup picture come trade deadline.
Kane could be a major lift alongside McDavid or with Draisaitl down the stretch Bowman may want to make a call if the organization feels the current group of veterans doesn't provide enough satisfactory options for the skill lines.
The point could be moot. Detroit might make the playoffs. Even if the Red Wings miss, there's no guarantee Kane would waive his no-trade clause for Edmonton or any other team.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, At 5 on 5,
Patrick Kane is still producing surprisingly decent results on the Red Wings, playing in a sniper role and getting available to fire pucks in the net. That could work alongside
Leon Draisaitl, who has never really had a successful shooter on his wing.
Patrick Kane could really make the Oilers power play a force to be reckoned with. His offensive IQ and talents paired with McDavid and Draisaitl on the man advantage with be lethal. In 45 games this year, Kane has 12 goals and 31 points - still great production for his age.
Will GM Stan Bowman make the trade deadline shower of a lifetimes? Time will tell.
