Ryan Reaves's brother, Jordan Reaves, has taken to social media to criticize Darnell Nurse, responding to an interview where Nurse discussed the head shot incident involving Reaves.

Recently, Edmonton Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse broke his silence regarding a hit by Ryan Reaves that left him injured for the next 5-10 games.

"There's lots of body on a 6'4" hockey player to hit and not one piece was touched other than my head."
-Darnell Nurse

»You can argue about the intent, but there are certain guys in the league that each shift they go out there, they try and go inflict pain. And I think it's pretty obvious what was going on there.»
- Darnell Nurse

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Ryan Reaves' brother, Jordan, commented on an Instagram post discussing Nurse's comments, and stirred the pot by saying Nurse had his head down.

»You could tell that looking at your skates?"
- Jordan Reaves

During last Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Darnell Nurse was retrieving the puck in what appeared to be a routine play, but Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer came charging around the corner, deliberately clipping Darnell Nurse in the face.

Although Nurse admitted to putting himself in a vulnerable spot, Jordan Reaves calls out Darnell Nurse, stating that he should've kept his head up.

Jordan Reaves is clearly trying to defend his brother, who is currently in the hot-seat for his disgusting head-shot on Nurse.

Although Ryan Reaves was issued a 5 game suspension, Ryan Reaves is a repeat offender who's been reprimanded for this type of behaviour in the past.

Tensions between the Oilers and the Leafs are at an all-time high, and the expectations of a physical matchup for their next game is drawing tons of attention.
