Stan Bowman shuts down Stuart Skinner's haters

The Edmonton Oilers are dealing with the aftermath of an ugly 5-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, and fans have taken to social media to vent their frustrations regarding goaltender Stuart Skinner. While fans are calling for an upgrade between the pipes, general manager Stan Bowman has come to Stuart Skinner's rescue, claiming the team will be making no upgrades at the NHL trade deadline.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, While speaking to the Athletic in a new interview released today, Bowman said criticism around Stuart Skinner is unfair, and that he fully believes in their goaltending being able to win a Cup. Bowman even fully denied looking at goalie trades.

I know that for whatever reason he seems to get some criticism. I guess goalies in general tend to. I've never really understood why
It's just the randomness of fans or the media. I just look at: How is he performing? From November on, he's been very consistent. He's been a very good goalie. Goalies always have a goal here and there you don't like.

Additionally, Stan Bowman addressed the Oilers goaltender situation last week, giving his current tandem a vote of confidence.
"Our goalies have been great (since November),» Bowman said, via The Athletic. «Calvin Pickard is 10-1 in his last 11 games. And Skinner's been excellent, too. Based on the performance of the team and their performance individually, they've done a really good job for us.
So, I'm not sure where that comes from," Bowman said. " We certainly believe in both of them, and we think they've been a big part of why our team has been so consistent over the last several months here."
