New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury has recently declared a fire-sale two of their best players, and analysts are urging Stan Bowman to make a move.

The Edmonton Oilers are coming off an impressive 6-2 victory over the New York Rangers, and the blow-out has caused New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury to hit the panic-button.

Currently, the players that have been listed open for business are forward Chris Kreider and captain Jacob Trouba.

Edmonton Oilers general manager Stan Bowman has been on the hunt for a right-hand shot shut-down defenceman, and Jacob Trouba fits the bill perfectly.

Jacob Trouba is somewhat of a polarizing figure in the NHL. He's known to be one of the most lethal hitters in the game, but he's also been villainized for his reputation of being a "head-hunter".

With that being said, Trouba is off to one of his slowest starts yet. So far, the Rangers captain has notched just 6 assists through 20 regular season games, posting a +1 rating on the ice.

Now 30 years old, Trouba has this season and one more remaining on his current contract. While he does have a modified no-trade clause this campaign that allows him to submit a 15-team no-trade list, few turn down the opportunity to play alongside Connor McDavid.

Carrying an annual cap hit of $8 million, it's no secret that his deal isn't a team-friendly one. If the Oilers were to take a stab at landing the Rochester, Michigan, native, it would require the Rangers to take a contract of similar value and term in return.

In need of an offensive boost, Evander Kane could be an attractive option for New York.

Personally, I would stray far away from Jacob Trouba. Stan Bowman is already navigating a tight salary cap, and bringing in Trouba's contract to the fold would mean parting ways with Oilers sniper Evander Kane.

Yes, Trouba would bring in ample veteran experience and leadership -- but he's simply not worth the risk.

Do you think the Edmonton Oilers should trade for Jacob Trouba?
