After notching his 1000th career point, Connor McDavid was awarded all three stars of the game.

Well folks, make that 1001 points to be exact! Connor McDavid sent the crowd at Rogers Place into a full on frenzy after notching this huge career milestone.

After the match, the Sportsnet handed out their traditional 3 stars of the game, and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid took home all 3.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, It was a dream scenario for McDavid to record his 1000th point. On a clean 2 on 1 look, Leon Draisaitl dished a perfect pass to McDavid who fired it into the net for the goal.

It surely wasn't a surprise that McDavid scored his 1000th point tonight, after Leon Draisaitl guaranteed that he would reach the milestone in front of the home crowd in Edmonton.

After the Nashville Predators tied the game late in the 3rd, the Edmonton Oilers went to overtime for the 2nd game in a row.

2:33 into overtime, Leon Draisaitl carried the puck in the Nashville Predators zone, then handed the puck to Connor McDavid, who was trailing right behind him. In classic McDavid style, he delivered a beautiful, no look, behind the back pass to Darnell Nurse, setting up the game-winning goal.

It wouldn't have felt right for Connor McDavid to notch his 1000th career point in a losing effort. Tonight marked one of the greatest NHL games in modern history.
