Connor McDavid's wife gives indication where he will re-sign
Lauren McDavid, (Connor's wife) has recently opened up two new business ventures in the city of Edmonton, indicating that the couple are committing to staying here longterm. Recently, Lauren dropped a bombshell on oilers fans, annoucning that she will be opening a new high-end cocktail bar called "Bar Trove" in a swanky building in downtown Edmonton.
In addition to her new bar, Lauren McDavid has been extremely busy the past few weeks. Recently, Lauren Kyle McDavid, Connor McDavid's wife, has launched an Edmonton Oilers-themed clothing line called "Atelier".
The brand, Sports Club Atelier, makes trendy sweaters, tops, hats, socks and claw clips -- pretty much everything you need to be a trendy Oilers fan.
How exciting!
While Lauren McDavid is exploring her talents in entrepreneurship, it appears that the couple are sinking their roots in Edmonton.
It's no secret by now that Leon Draisaitl also signed an 8 year extension with the Oilers during the off-season, and there's no way Leon would consider signing in Edmonton long-term without the assurance that his best friend would be following suit.
As it stands, Lauren McDavid is taking over downtown Edmonton, and her new business plans in Edmonton indicate Connor McDavid is here to stay.
