Corey Perry gets sweet revenge on Quinn Hughes

The Edmonton Oilers laid a 6-2 smackdown on the Vancouver Canucks yesterday, but Oilers fans are feeling smug after Corey Perry took matters into his own hands by getting some sweet revenge on Quinn Hughes.

Recently, NHL Player and Safety made the executive decision to suspend Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid for cross-checking Vancouver Canucks forward Connor Garland.
The controversial suspension sparked quite a bit of buzz in the NHL, and the Edmonton Oilers had the opportunity to make a statement during last night's rematch against the Nucks'
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Responding to the heated events of last game, Corey Perry seemed intent on coming into tonight's game on a mission to tick off every Canucks player. Even before the game, he was smiling like he knew what was coming.
Perry's antics began when the Canucks forward Connor Garland gave an extra poke to Calvin Pickard in the Oilers crease to begin a brawl. Perry found out captain Quinn Hughes, and tackled him to the ice.
While McDavid's suspension has ignited a movement to protect the superstars of the NHL, that didn't hold Corey Perry back.
Although Perry didn't go crazy, his master class takedown of captain Quinn Hughes was enough to send a clear message to the Canucks: don't mess with the Oilers.
With just one game left in McDavid's 3 game suspension, the Oilers will look to stay in the win column when they take on the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
