Taylor Hall is now 32 years old and playing out the final year of his contract with a rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks team, with rumours that he may be traded at the deadline.
I think it's fairly safe to say that Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Hall isn't exactly having an all-star year.
In 20 regular season games this season, Hall has only managed 2 goals and 4 assists and posts a -6 rating on the ice.
Granted, he's coming off a massive surgery from an ACL injury that kept him sidelined for the better past of last season, but Hall has been slumping offensively and a change of scenery is looking like the likely outcome.
Hall will likely be headed to a contender at the trade deadline with the Blackhawks retaining half of his cap hit to reduce it to $3 million.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Oilers fans obviously know Taylor Hall from selecting him first overall back in the 2010 draft. Hall played 6 seasons with Edmonton, some of the best years of his career, before being traded to the New Jersey Devils in a one-for-one deal for Adam Larsson.
As it stands, Taylor Hall is currently a depreciating asset on the Chicago Blackhawks. His age, performance, and previous health history are all big question marks, but the idea of bringing him back to Edmonton remains an intriguing conversation.
