The Edmonton Oilers are planning a remarkable tribute to Connor McDavid
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid recently celebrated his 1000 point milestone, and the team has a little treat organized for our superstar.
It's no secret by now that Connor McDavid is by far the best hockey player on the planet.
The Edmonton Oilers captain recently notched his 1000th career point against the Nashville Predators, and the team has planned a remarkable tribute to commemorate this lifetime achievement.
Joined by his family, McDavid will be presented with a golden stick and commemorative Tiffany crystal for his accomplishment - and fellow Oilers players will present their captain with a gift from his teammates. The ceremony will also include a special video tribute to mark the historic accomplishment.

On November 14, McDavid became the 99th player in NHL history to reach 1,000 career points when the Oilers defeated the Nashville Predators 3-2 in overtime at Rogers Place.
This ceremony is set to happen on December 5th prior to the Columbus Blue Jackets game.
This milestone marks a huge achievement in Connor McDavid's career. in 658 NHL games, and of the 98 playerswho have reached the 1,000-point plateau, only Wayne Gretzky (424), Mario Lemieux (513) and Mike Bossy (656) have done it faster.
Connor McDavid is never to type of person to boast about personal accolades or achievements, but this is a unique situation.
This awards ceremony will have an added element of sentiment attached as it will be presented in front of fans at Rogers Place -- and i'm sure there's a huge standing ovation coming his way.
Oilers Central would like to send another well deserved congratulations to Connor McDavid on this incredible milestone.
