According to Kris Knoblauch, Zach Hyman and Viktor Arvidsson have been ruled out of tonight's match up, and will not be appearing in Saturday's game against the New York Rangers.
Zach Hyman left the game the game on Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators and did not return.
Although the Oilers pulled off the much needed win, the injury to Zach Hyman came as a significant blow to the team.
Viktor Arvidsson on the other-hand missed the last Thursday's matchup against the Nashville Predators due to an undisclosed injury.
According to Kris Knoblauch, Viktor Arvidsson was taking a "maintenance day" to rest some minor bumps and bruises, but it appears his injuries are more substantial than initially reported.
With that being said, newcomer Kasperi Kapanen will be making his debut on the Oilers second line.
Drake Caggiula has also been re-called from the Bakersfield Condors to provide support as Hyman and Arvidsson will be out for the foreseeable future.
Tonight should be a really good test for the Oilers who are hoping to get their season back on track after a mediocre eastern Canada road-trip.
The Minnesota Wild have surprisingly emerged as one of the NHL's hottest teams, posting a 12-3-3 record, ranking 4th overall in the standings.
All eyes will be on newly acquired Kasperi Kapanen to make an impact on the Oilers top 6.
