The Edmonton Oilers are coming off a clutch 4-3 overtime performance against the New York Islanders, and head coach Kris Knoblauch mixes things up in practice today.

The Edmonton Oilers are playing the Nashville Predators tomorrow night in what should the most important milestone games of the year.

Facing a bottom tier team like the Nashville Predators dosnt usually excite fans, but this game is different -- Connor McDavid has the opportunity to reach 1000 career points.

Now, lets get to the nitty-gritty -- Kris Knoblach shook up the lines at practice today, but forward Viktor Arvidsson did not partake.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, on the lineup end, Calvin Pickard will be the Oilers starter for their next game against the Nashville Predators, and Travis Dermott will come into the lineup in place of Troy Stecher.

No player skated in place of Victor Arvidsson, which may be a good sign. If the Oilers expected Arvidsson to be out for any amount of time with an injury, they likely would've elevated another forward to the second line for practice.

As per Jason Gregor via X, Viktor Arvidsson is taking a maintenance day, hinting that he might be resting some minor bumps and bruises sustained in last nights game against the Islanders.

«He had a maintenance day. He is 50/50 for tomorrow. It is nothing too serious,» Knoblauch on Arvidsson.

Although Kris Knoblauch ensures fans that Arvidsson's injuries aren't too serious, it does have implications of their starting roster tomorrow night.

As per Oiler Daily, coach Knoblauch seems to be continuing his demotion for Jeff Skinner. The 32 year old veteran of over 1000 NHL games hasn't clicked yet in Edmonton, and Knoblauch doesn't seem to have too much patience for Skinner figuring it out in the top six.

Will Arvidsson be good for tomorrow's milestone game? Time will tell.
