The Edmonton Oilers are practicing in Boston this morning, gearing up for a thrilling showdown against the Bruins tomorrow night. With that in mind, head coach Kris Knoblauch has made some interesting changes to the roster this morning, elevating Jeff Skinner to the 3rd line.

EDM lines & pairings - Monday's practice:

RNH - McDavid - Brown
Podkolzin - Draisaitl - Arvidsson
Skinner - Henrique - Hyman
Perry - Janmark - Kapanen
Ryan

Ekholm - Bouchard
Nurse - Stecher
Kulak - Emberson
Brown

Skinner
Pickard

Jeff Skinner seems to be earning a little more of Knoblauch's trust as he has been promoted to the Oilers 3rd line.

Jeff Skinner scored an epic goal last game against the Seattle Kraken to put the Oilers up 2-0. Days prior, Kris Knoblauch decided to healthy scratch Jeff Skinner against the Anaheim Ducks.

It appears that a short stint in the press box was the wakeup call Skinner needed to get his game going.

After being relegated to the 4th line for the better part of a month, Jeff Skinner is clawing his way back up the depth chart, providing a glimmer of hope for his future on team.

Jeff Skinner faces a critical moment, needing to sustain offensive momentum to hush the rumblings of a potential trade leading up to the deadline. Now, he must maximize his limited opportunity with the team.

While Jeff Skinner secures a spot on the 3rd line, Kris Knoblauch is also keeping his newly assembled 1st line intact.

Connor Brown is currently on a big heater, recording 11 points in his last 11 games, which ultimately resulted in increased ice-time alongside Connor McDavid.
