Recently, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff updated his projected team Canada roster ahead of the 4-Nations face off, and Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner finds himself on the sideline.

According to Sportsnet analyst Mark Spector, Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner is a long shot to make the team.

It may be too late for Stuart Skinner, but in his final audition for Team Canada, he was brilliant. His spot on Canada's roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off may already have swirled down the drain

As the 2024-25 campaign rolled around, subtle issues started to creep back into Stuart Skinner's game. Skinner's save percentage has dropped year over year for two seasons, and now, he's at a lowly .887 through.

Now, Stuart Skinner finds himself taken of the projected team Canada roster, which has sparked another interesting conversation in Oil Country.

According to Puckpedia Stuart Skinner is signed to a 3 year, $7,800,000 contract with a cap hit of $2,600,000 per season. His contract was signed on December 19, 2022, and expires at the end of the 2025-26 season, when Skinner will be 27 years old.

Despite the Oilers convincing 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche last night, Stuart Skinner chances of making Team Canada still look incredibly slim.
