Last night marked ex-Edmonton Oilers Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway's first visit to the city of Edmonton since being offer sheeted by the St. Louis Blues.
From the moment the puck dropped, the boo's were in full force at Roger's place whenever Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway touched the puck.
After the game, Edmonton Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse made himself available for his usual post game interviews , sharing his thoughts about the Oilers faithful.
Nurse told Oilers reporter Daniel Nugent-Bowman, who tweeted that it was pretty funny to hear the boos.
"It was pretty funny. (Laughs.)" Nurse said. "I've never seen the boos (like that before). I brought some atmosphere and energy to the rink. Those are two guys that we think very highly of as teammates
However, Darnell Nurse highlighted that now they're no longer on the same side, so it's up to fans to dictate their treatment.
I think it's safe to say it was a night to forget for Philip Broberg.
He was one the ice for the 1st and 2nd goal of the game, and even committed a costly turnover that lead to Connor McDavid's goal.
On a side note, Darnell Nurse had a fantastic performance.
He assisted on Corey Perry's goal for the game's opening tally, and it seems he's finally playing up to his $9 million dollar contract.
