Dylan Holloway has a message for Edmonton Oilers fans after being booed
The stage was set for an unforgettable showdown on Hockey Night in Canada last night - what more could you ask for?
Last night marked the return of former players Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, who were snatched by the Blues via offer sheets over the NHL offseason.
As soon as either player handled the puck, the boo birds filled Rogers Place as the fan base made their feelings known towards their former studs.
After the game, Dylan Holloway made himself available for his usual post game interviews, delivering a message for the fan base.
HOLLOWAY: Obviously it's a different experience when you go up against your former team. I built so good relationships with the guys, the staff, and everyone in Oil Country. So it was definitely a little different
REPORTER: Did you get a chuckle out of the boos? It was pretty funny
HOLLOWAY: Yeah, I said it yesterday, that's what makes it so fun to play here, is the passionate fanbase. They're a knowledgeable fanbase, too. So I don't know, it was definitely different.
It appears that Dylan Holloway was a great sport about the whole ordeal. He spoke with a huge smile and even complimented his former fan base for their passion and knowledge.
Additionally, Edmonton Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse shared a good laugh about the fans at Rogers Place, but the mutual respect between his former teammates remained intact.
"They were great teammates to us. But now they're on the other side, so if they're getting booed, they're getting booed." Nurse said with a smile
