Former Edmonton Oilers player poised for a massive comeback

Ex-Edmonton Oilers star Taylor Hall scored a hat-trick during the Chicago Blackhawks 6-2 victory over the Dallas Stars last night, and he may have reignited is offensive spark.
The Chicago Blackhawks are currently in one of the worst offensive slumps in recent memory, struggling to find the back of the net.
Last week, Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson sent shockwaves down the NHL with his decision to bench Taylor Hall just before the playing the Vancouver Canucks -- a move that didn't sit well with the former MVP.
"I was surprised. It was unexpected, from the standpoint of I just didn't know I was even close to being in that spot, really," Hall said Monday. "If there were some conversations in the days leading up about my game, or if I was constantly being shown video, that would be one thing. So I was a bit surprised."

Although Hall admits to being caught off guard, sometimes being benched can be a great wake-up call in the face of adversity.
It seems as if though being benched has poked the bear, and Taylor Hall has come back to the Chicago Blackhawks lineup with a vengeance.

The Chicago Blackhawks still have a long way to go in order to be playoff contenders, but Taylor Hall seems to be raising his stock leading up to the trade deadline.
With that being said, Edmonton Oilers insider Matt Wozniak has recently linked the former MVP back to Edmonton, highlighting a potential return to Oil Country.
Granted, he's coming off a massive surgery from an ACL injury that kept him sidelined for the better part of of last season, but Hall has been lighting it up and a change of scenery is looking rather probable.
Although Wozniak admits the complexities of a deadline acquisition, it certainly presents an intriguing conversation.
