Frank Seravalli predicts the Edmonton Oilers are making a big splash this week
Breaking news in Oil Country as NHL insider Frank Seravalli just announced a massive prediction for the Edmonton Oilers.
It's no secret by now that the Edmonton Oilers have been exploring the market for a right-hand shot shut-down defenceman.
In addition to that, analysts seem to think that GM Stan Bowman is also exploring options for a goalie, and an added depth forward.
According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the Edmonton Oilers are expected to make a trade within the next 7-10 days.

With that being said, the trade would be contingent based on how the Oilers perform in that time-span.
The Edmonton Oilers are currently sitting at a 11-9-2 record, ranked 17th in the NHL.
The Edmonton Oilers were named Stanley Cup favourites to start the NHL season, in addition to being front runners to win the Presidents Trophy as per Money Puck.
Despite their season slowly getting back on track, the Edmonton Oilers aren't showing the same potential they did leading up to the post-season last year.
As per Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, recent reports from Bob Stauffer revealed that the Oilers are exploring off the radar trade candidates for their defence this season - and perhaps off the radar candidates for other positions too.

GM Stan Bowman recently did an interview with Sportsnet's Mark Spector,, admitting he feels fine with the current state of the Oilers defence.
In depth analytics show the Oilers are struggling the most offensively and between the pipes, so it should be interesting to see what Bowman decides to do.
If what Frank Seravalli says is true -- expect the Oilers to make some moves within the next 7-10 days.
