An video of the Edmonton Oilers incredible 5-on-5 has emerged on X, and it has fans across the NHL dropping their jaws.
It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers have had a rather slow start to the 2024-25 campaign, but the worm seems to be turning.
The Edmonton Oilers are coming off an impressive 6-3 victory over the Columbus blue Jackets on Thursday, and the Oilers managed to put together a full 60 minutes of dominant hockey.
With that being said, Edmonton Oilers insider David Staples recently posted a video with the team's 5-on-5 prowess on full display.
As you can see, the Edmonton Oilers were firing on all cylinders during this cycle.
The passing and skating displayed from the Edmonton Oilers during this shift were flawless, the only thing missing was the puck finding the back of the net.
I think it's safe to say that the Edmonton Oilers are slowly starting to find their game, and head coach Kris Knoblauch emphasized that in a recent statement.
"I think we're trending the right way at home. Last year we were almost unstoppable at home, especially in the second half of the season. Hopefully we can start getting that feel again."

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Tonight will also be the return of Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway to Edmonton since leaving the team via offer sheets last offseason. Oilers fans are currently divided on booing or not booing the two young players.
Puck drops tonight at 8:00MT against the Blues as the Oilers look to win their second game in a row, and build more momentum to climb the standings.
