Jonathan Toews has spent the better part of 2 years travelling the world, soul searching, surfing, and living life.
Now, it appears that the former Blackhawks captain is ready for one last ride into the sunset.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Additionally, Seravalli named the Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, and Colorado Avalanche as primary suitors for Toews in trade - all contending teams in need of a bottom six centre.
To this point, it was heavily assumed that Toews would not be returning as soon as this season. The suggestion that a return is possible now is a very sudden leap forward in his condition, and great news.
Although the Edmonton Oilers have been left off Frank Seravalli's list of teams, the likelihood of Jonathan Toews landing in Edmonton is still very much a reality.
Toews in his prime was one of the best players the NHL has ever produced and there's no doubt he would provide a perfect complement as depth piece on the Edmonton Oilers
He's a proven winner that hates to lose, he's defensively responsible, strong in the faceoff circle and makes players around him better.
A return to the league alongside Connor McDavid would make for a storybook ending to an incredible career, and former ties with GM Stan Bowman could make it happen.
