Anonymous poll reveals what other NHL players think of Edmonton

Recently, an anonymous poll was conducted by the Athletic called "which team would be on your no-trade list" and the results are somewhat shocking.
In the early stages of the year Edmonton Oilers general manager Stan Bowman been received "unsolicited" phone calls from agents around the NHL, requesting player trades to the team.
It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers have undergone a major face lift since drafting hockey superstar Connor McDavid.
Over the past decade, the Oilers franchise have seen their stock steadily increase, and the team has generated a flow of interest from fans across the world.
On a previous segment of Oilers Now with Bob Stauffer, Oilers general manager Stan Bowman revealed that he's receiving unsolicited calls from from agents around the NHL, expressing their clients' desire to play in Edmonton -- an indicative sign of how other players view our city.
Edmonton not listed as no-trade list
According to the poll conducted by the Athletic, Winnipeg received a whopping 50% rating as the least desirable city to play in.
Among the other cities that ranked in the bottom are Buffalo and San Jose.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Despite the Oilers facing the same disadvantages of cold weather and taxes, the winning environment and draw to play with elite talent seems to exempt Edmonton from the no-trade problem. Players are very open and willing to come to Edmonton for a chance to win.
Plenty of credit is due to Oilers owner Daryl Katz for the vision and execution of Rogers Place and the Ice District, but the real credit goes to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl shaping a perennial contender that's attractive to any NHL player.
