The Edmonton Oilers have recently sent down forward Drake Caggiula to the Oilers farm affiliate in Bakersfield in preparation for Zach Hyman's return from injury.

Drake Caggiula played a total of 5 games during his re-call, recording 0 points and averaging roughly 10 minutes of ice-time.
This move comes as no real shocker as forward Zach Hyman has been on the cusp of returning, but this roster move by the Oilers indicates him imminent return to the lineup tomorrow night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Drake Caggiula was recalled after the injury to Zach Hyman, sustained in the Oilers' game against the Ottawa Senators.

The Oilers got great news for Hyman yesterday, as he returned to his first full practice with the team since sustaining the injury. Now that Caggiula has been loaned back to the AHL, it seems that Hyman is ready to join the Oilers lineup again for their home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

According to Edmonton Oilers insider Mark Spector , Zach Hyman's return to the lineup presents an intriguing situation for head coach Kris Knoblauch.

Spector suggests that Zach Hyman will return to his usual spot alongside Connor McDavid, relegating Kaperi Kapanen to the 4th line, and promoting Jeff Skinner to the second line.

Although the official lineups won't be released until tomorrow, having Zach Hyman back in the lineup is welcomed news for Oilers enthusiasts.

In 20 regular season games, Zach Hyman has notched 3 goals and 5 assists -- far from his usual level of production.
