While Connor McDavid and Conor Garland seem to be dominating the headlines, the Edmonton Oilers organization have now chimed in with an official statement on the events that have unfolded.

The NHL fined the Rangers an extraodrinary $250,000 for what Commissioner Gary Bettman called demeaning personal comments made publicly about head of player safety George Parros. It was believed to be the largest publicly announced fine of its kind in NHL history.
While the Edmonton Oilers are feeling the negative impact of their star forward being sidelined, it should be interesting to see how the NHL handles this statement from the Oilers organization.
