Kasperi Kapanen announces life changing news
Breaking news in Oil Country as Kasperi Kapanen announces his engagement to his new fiancé Matleena Laakso.
The holiday's are well underway, and Edmonton Oilers forward Kasperi Kapanen's Christmas just got a whole sweeter.
According to Daily Hive, The announcement was made in a joint Instagram post between the two. The happy couple posed by their Christmas tree in a variety of embraces, including one where Laakso is showing off her new ring.
Laakso is a regular poster on social media and has garnered a following. She has roughly 20,000 followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. She often posts different lifestyle content showcasing travel and her day-to-day living.
Kapanen was originally born in Kuopio, Finland, and his new finacée is also Finnish
The Edmonton Oilers made a significant roster move by claiming Kasperi Kapanen on waivers, a former first round draft pick who has immediately entered the Oilers lineup.
With that being said, Kapanen has carved himself a comfortable spot on the Oilers roster beside Leon Draisaitl and Kaperi Kapanen, and he's brought value to the team with his dynamic speed a play-making abilities.
So far, Kasperi Kapanen has notched 3 goals and 1 assist through 14 regular season games.
