Leon Draisaitl issues "lgendary" guarantee for tomorrow's game
The Edmonton Oilers are facing the Nashville Predators tomorrow night, and forward Leon Draisaitl makes a bold prediction regarding Connor McDavid.
Last night, the Oilers played host to the New York Islanders, and fans around the NHL tuned in to potentially witness history.
Although Connor McDavid had an elite performance, notching 1 goal and 3 assists, he fell just shy of the 1000 point mark, currently sitting at 999.
During a post practice interview, Leon Draisaitl was asked if he thinks Connor McDavid will the prestigeous milestone tomorrow -- and his answer was simply legendary.
REPORTER: Do you feel like showing up in Toronto with 999 points would be the worst thing [McDavid would] ever wanna do?
DRAISAITL: Probably. I hope I'm not gonna jinx it, but I have a feeling it's not going to get to Toronto, so. Knock on wood, hopefully I'm right. I'm sure he would love to do it in front of the our fans at home. Like I said this morning, we're not talking greatness, we're talking legendary.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, It's incredible to hear Draisaitl comfortable enough to practically guarantee that McDavid will get the milestone tomorrow on home ice. There's not many players you can make such a real guarantee with, but McDavid is a simply special talent.
