The Edmonton oilers are gearing up for a Pacific Division rematch against the Anaheim Ducks following their humiliating 5-3 defeat the previous game.

Luckily, the Edmonton Oilers avoided a crushing momentum killing loss against Utah HC, and the team will look to stay in the win column tonight.

Edmonton Oilers starting lineup against the Anaheim Ducks

Notably, Edmonton Oilers Connor Brown will be making his highly anticipated debut on the top along alongside Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

Connor Brown has been on an absolute heater as of late, recording 10 points in his last 10 games.

After practice yesterday, Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch was asked about his intriguing line changes.

Knoblauch explained that Zach Hyman's relegation to the third line was a strategic decision to reward Brown for his remarkable play, and to spread out the scoring throughout the lineup.

The Oilers bench boss likes the look of the trio and is excited to see what they can do tonight with one of the NHL's top goalscorers in December in Hyman (10 goals in 11 games), the defensively responsible Janmark, and a well-rounded option in Kapanen, who's been a welcomed addition since being picked up off waivers back on Nov. 19 from the St. Louis Blues.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM MT.
