The Vancouver Canucks' season has taken another dramatic turn since the reports suggest that the team may look to trade Elias Pettersson rather than JT Miller.
According to Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects, the Canucks have not received good offers for Miller and believe a Pettersson trade could bring better assets to the team.
"Don't be surprised to hear the Elias Pettersson trade talk ramp back up. Vancouver is unhappy with the offers for Miller, and it'll be a lot easier to recoup value in a Pettersson deal.

Pettersson signed an eight-year contract extension worth $11.6 million per season this past summer, but his performance has not met the expectations.
During the first 41 games, the Swedish center has scored only 11 goals and 30 points with a +/- -7 rating.
This is a big difference from last season where he scored 89 points and a +20 rating in 82 games.
Even more interesting, Pettersson's contract does not include trade protection this season and is giving the Canucks a rare opportunity to shop him without any restrictions.
Insiders Rick Dhaliwal and Pierre LeBrun confirm that Vancouver actively listens to Pettersson offers and it is starting conversation about his future.
In contrast, Miller's trade market has been underwhelming and the Canucks are not satisfied with the proposed returns as of now.
With Vancouver currently out of the playoff picture, the decision to move Pettersson could change the franchise's face and direction for years to come.
But for now, let's see what the Canucks could have in return for their star forward.
