The Edmonton Oilers are coming off an impressive 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues last night, but Stuart Skinner finds himself in the hot seat.

With roughly 6 minutes left in the first period, St. Louis Blues forward Radek Faksa pursued a dumped in puck, but collided with goaltender Stuart Skinner, resulting in an Oilers power play.

Stuart Skinner quickly played the puck to Mattias Ekholm as Radek Faksa charged towards the Oilers net.

Unfortunately, Radek Faksa made direct contact with Stuart Skinner resulting in an Oilers power play.

St. Louis Blues fans believe Stuart Skinner interfered

Although Radek Faksa made fairly heavy contact with Stuart Skinner, you can clearly see the Oilers goaltender made no real effort to get out of way.

However, Stuart Skinner made the smart move by sacrificing his body, making a brilliant hockey play by absorbing the hit.

After the game Stuart Skinner made himself available for his usual post game interviews, breaking down the situation that transpired.

"I got bodied pretty good. I've been getting hit a lot in this league this year. That's like the fourth bodycheck I've gotten. First call, though, which is nice to see."

Funny enough, Stuart Skinner explained the whole situation with a cheeky smile, so I think it's safe to say he knew exactly what he was doing.

Regardless of the call, Stuart Skinner has slowly been finding his groove between the pipes, impressing both coaches and fans with his recent perfomance.
