The Edmonton Oilers are coming off an epic 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning, and goaltender Stuart Skinner has been stringing together some impressive performances.

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers played a playoff style game that had all the elements of a great victory.

From the initial puck-drop the Edmonton Oilers played a full 60 minutes, and the team's superstars rose to the occasion.

Although the Edmonton Oilers pulled off the crucial victory, you would be remiss not to tip your cap to Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner for his rock solid performance between the pipes.

The Edmonton Oilers might not need to trade for a goaltender

The Stuart Skinner critics have been very quiet lately. The Oilers netminder had another excellent outing, as he stopped 21 of 22 shots for a sparkling .955 save percentage (SV%).

After a miserable start to the season, the 26-year-old is slowly creeping back up to the .900 SV% mark, as he currently sits with a .895 SV% on the campaign. Skinner has been excellent in his last five starts, posting above a .935 SV% in all of them.
