For the first time since being traded, former Edmonton Oilers Taylor Hall publicly shared his feelings about leaving the Chicago Blackhawks and he stated he was happy to be moved.

Hall was recently included in a blockbuster trade that saw the Colorado Avalanche send Mikko Rantanen to the Carolina Hurricanes.
As part of the deal, Hall joined a Stanley Cup contender which is a big contrast to his experience in Chicago, where he was in one of the worst teams.
During an interview with Scott Powers of The Athletic, Taylor Hall explained why the trade was a welcome change.
"My playing time in Chicago, for whatever reason, was not what I would have liked it to be,» Hall said. «So I was happy to be traded, and I was happy to come to a really good team that has a culture in place and a structure that I feel fits well with me."

Taylor Hall has now played for seven different NHL teams and said that the rebuilding nature of the Blackhawks didn't align with his career goals.
"They're on a different timeline than my career is, right? So I get it. I understand it. I wanted to play more. I'm definitely a better player than the amount I was playing. But you also understand where they're coming from."

His departure leaves the Blackhawks without one of the few experienced wingers who had been playing with Connor Bedard since the beginning of this career.
Connor Bedard was shocked by the move and said that Taylor Hall's impact in the locker room was very important.
Now with the Hurricanes, Hall has an opportunity to contribute to a Cup contender.
